At the conclusion of our information report writing this term, the children chose their own animal to research and write about. They had to investigate their animal’s habitat, diet, predators, description and any other fun facts they could find. They wrote their report and were then able to research some real images. From here they sketched their animal of choice, added ‘real’ colours, created an environment if they chose to and were then asked to add labels to their animal. They were required to add an adjective to the noun to provide a more descriptive label. The detail in most of these illustrations is truly phenomenal!!
